I love traveling. It is kind of my thing to explore new places, to walk off the beaten path. I don’t really have a plan most of the time. I like it to be spontaneous.
But: Without the necessary documents you won’t get anywhere. Weather it’s your your passport or just your boarding passes. You need to get your documents ready and know where they are.
Passport:
It’s always a good idea to have some ID on you. Weather you want to get into a country or into a club, you’ll need your passport. Even when you’re from the EU and traveling inside the EU, it’s always good to have your passport with you.
Don’t forget to check if your passport is still valid before you travel.
Boarding passes/ Rail tickets:
Don’t forget your travel tickets at home, or you won’t get anywhere. Or you have to buy new ones. And spending money unnecessary is always a bad idea.
Insurance papers/ cards:
Check if you need a travel insurance or if your standard health insurance covers traveling. Also check if your insurances are still valid before you start your journey. It’s always better to be safe than sorry.
Get copies of your documents:
Make several copies of all your important documents and leave them in separate places. One at home, and both one in your hand- and checked luggage are minimum. I don’t want to call out the devil, but things can get lost. Or stolen. This tip came to me from maxymilano. Check out his blog by clicking on his name.
Now it’s up to you. Did I forget anything in this list? Let me know in the comments down below.
Great and useful tips! Thanks!
