Today is my favourite holiday ever. It’s Canada Day!
And with Canada’s 150 year anniversary this year, it’s a special one.
Being a German, and also being a university student, it kind of breaks my glowing little heart that I can’t be there. To me Canada is my second home. It felt so real when I was there back in the day, one could say it had been my home and native land. At least I felt that way. I grew a more independent, more self aware person washing dishes in the true north, strong and free.
If only teleportation was invented yet. Or if I had the money and, more important, the time(!), I’d definitely be there. One day I’ll return. Hopefully for a more permanent visit.
