The first lens I ever bought for my then Canon 100D, not counting the Kit Lens, now is one of my all time favourites. I just absolutely love my Nifty Fifty. It is also my Fastest Lens. And it is so cheap!
Back in early 2016, when I bought it, I just paid around 100 Euros on it. Back than, I was a firm Believer in the fact that every Photographer should have a 50mm Lens in their Kit, and Canons 50mm f/1.8 STM just offered the best bang for the buck.

Most people would probably use it for Portraiture, especially on APS-C sensored Cameras, where the 50mm Focal Length looks more like 80mm. And that’s quite close to 85mm, a classic Focal Length for Portraits. And it definetly performs awesome for that.

The Lens is also no stranger to Street Photography. It’s an awesome little Tool to Capture the world as it is. But lately I carry it around more to do Landscape Photography. It’s an awesome daily carry.

One time, my Nifty Fifty was completely infested with tiny spiders, but I was able to get rid of them. And the Lens is as good as new.

The Nifty Fifty is just such a versatile Lens that’s reasonably fast at f/1.8. It is also extremely good for its price. It currently goes for about 110 Euros on Amazon. Practically a steal!
