My favourite places in the Harz

I absolutely love the Harz. But sometimes I feel that I do not explore enough of it anymore.

That is why I asked my followers on Instagram to tell me there favourite places in the Harz. But before I introduce those to you over the following Months, here are my personal favourites.

I really like Hahnenklee.

I have no clue what it is, but something always draws me back to Hahnenklee, to the Stabkirche and up the Bocksberg. This year, I have been there twice already. Once in the Winter and the second time a week or so ago. I guess I must like it there.

The Okertalsperre and the Okertal.

The views in the Okertal just after Romkerhall are just plain awesome. The Okertalsperre is also very nice. But I like the Okertal way more. I really like the cliffs and rocks and the Oker. There is even a little section of ‘rough’ water for kayakers.

It is always nice to go to the Brocken.

The Brocken is the highest mountain in the Harz. I have hiked there before, and I will do it again some day. I have also taken the train. The first time was when I was still a child. The second time was this year. It is just way to expensive to go up by train too often.

The Stadtweger Teich & Clausthal-Zellerfeld.

Lately, I have started to really enjoy sitting on benches at one of the Teiche in and around Clausthal and reflect. My favourite of those is definitely the Stadtweger Teich near Zellerfeld.

At the WeltWald,, where I was last week.

I really love the Harz, and I hope I can bring it, and also Photography, closer to you with this blog.
