Taking the Brockenbahn.

Yesterday, some friends and I decided to attempt to take the Brockenbahn again, after we already failed twice this year. At the first time, there was a storm. And at the second time, a train had gotten stuck in a snow drift the day before we wanted to go. But this time, it finally worked!

Hiking in the Harz.

I never really liked hiking. But that changed for a bit. Since I got my Wanderpass (hikers pass) last Thursday, I was eager to get some stamps in it. You can even earn some achievements! Like the bronze Wandernadel (a hikers medal) for 8 individual stamps. Continue reading

Exploring Heritage.

Since I live in the Harz, I like exploring. I always lived in the Harz. And due to the rich history of the area, particularly in mining, there is a lot of old stuff to explore related to mining. Like the Oberharzer Wasserregal, that is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
